The Alpha Phi Foundation
In 1965, Alpha Phi was one of the first women's fraternities to establish a Foundation. The Alpha Phi Foundation is dedicated to advancing leadership development, encouraging academic excellence, improving women's heart healthy, supporting sisters in need and educating about the value of philanthropy. It is well known and respected internationally as a prominent philanthropic leader for the Greek community, with our chapters raising over a million dollars annually. Each year the Foundation awards the Heart to Heart Cardiac Care grant to an organization focused on women's cardiac research.
The Gamma Zeta chapter's main philanthropy events include the Red Dress Gala, Move Your Phi't, Crush Week, and Cardiac Care Week.

Crush Week
Crush week is a competition within the Greek community to create a fun way to get the campus community talking about heart health! Last year, activities included fundraising by selling roses in the SUB, an AED scavenger hunt between the competing Greek houses, heart fact token collecting by the competing houses, and finally HEART THROB at the end (a talent show performed by the competing houses).
